Default HELP! How to remove sticker & Masking tape residue??

I had a large scuff/scratch on the back bumper and a smaller one on the front. Seeing that i had some black spray figured why not just spray over them.

However it didnt turn out as planned! I covered the surrounding areas with normal masking tape and sprayed over the scratched areas.

Unfortunately the paint seeped into the masking tape and upon removing the tape there seems to be a mixture of masking tape residue and the paint left over.

its best described as a whitish cobwebby gluey residue but it will not budge. Any ideas?

i use lynx deoderant to get rid of sticky residue. works like a charm. i dont know if it would work in your application though as you are trying to obtain an improved paint finish without retouching arnt you? you need more of a cutting compound to blend it all in.

i had a same sort of problem mate, i used spirits, but my problem was worse as i masked up an area to paint and water got onto the masking tape, which made it stickey as hell, anyways try spirits if nothing else works

A tin of petrol lighter fuel is always handy to have around, removes all sorts of sticky tape residue, grease marks etc
