hailstone damage
My MY05 Black Sti got caught in a hailstone event out of Flash Gordon the other day.
Now the bonnet looks like a golf ball and the roof too.
None of the dents are deep or large.
One dent repair guy says go to a body shop and have it filled and resprayed.
because its a bugger to do on scoobies....
any thoughts?

I was in a hailstorm some years ago with my 99, had dents as you describe in the bonnet
i called a dent remover and he was able to remove all dents from the bonnet, was as before hailstorm when he finished, needless to say i was well chuffed over the result, could not beleive he was able to remove the dents as he did, well worth the money, think i payed 150£ had a couple of door dings he removed them too

Same thing happened to my 03 WRX on Saturday. Was dropping brother in law home to Dagenham when the almighty downpour began. I've never seen such big rocks of ice falling from the sky. They were 3 inches big and man did they make a racket when hitting things.
Called the missus a few miles away and was told that the hail stones there are just the small ones. My ten year old joked about how my car must be getting dented.
To my horror did I find that indeed my car was covered in small dents from this catastrophic weather. All I can say, it's typical to happen in bloody 'Nam.

Same happened to my Black Blobeye....also live in Dagenham and now looking for a new bonnet.
Was also hit by fireworks on Guy Fawkes....big dent from a falling rocket....
Does anyone know a good garage where I can get this fixed? or provide me with contacts for a new/used bonnet?

My insurance company coughed up over a grand to get my car repaired after a hail storm here last year. Fortunately hail damage is so common here it is covered under your normal insurance policy and is not an extra.
The dents are tiny and hardly noticable unless you look for them in the right light.
