Default AFTERBURNER VORTEX

Just wondering if anyone has fitted the Afterburner Vortex Back box from Scoobyworld which is manufactured by Hayward and Scott onto a Blobeye

This back box seams to be getting very good reviews on the Scoobyworld web site

Had one on my 05 STI for a bit - good quality and great sound.

Can be a bit noisy with a full decat on long trips.

Its for sale after upgrading to a 3" system.

How does the Afterburner vortex compare to the Blitz nur spec with Bung ???

my new vortex BB for my blob wrx will be teamed up with a decat midpipe, resonated centre pipe and original up / down pipe.

just a bit worried the noise will be OTT ??!!

The vortex system's do sound pretty cool, they're not as loud or deep as a fully free Nur Spec R, with the bung in place I'd say the Nur Spec is probably a bit quieter.

Okay cheers as I say can live with the Blitz nur spec with the bung in place so as long as the AB vortex is not too much more noise I think things will be okay.

just want to get away from having to use a bung in the bb, have heard mixed reports regards using a bung ie. not good for the turbo etc ??

Yeah it's not too great for the turbo, the bung essentially creates a restriction in the system.
