Hi all. Went on a prety long drive yesterday to collect my girlfriends new car. I live in north wales and went to slough to collect it so thats a prety long treck. It was just over 170 miles each way so 340 in total. Anyway before i set off i filled my type r v-limited up with v-power and checked my tyre pressures, it held £54 in total from prety much empty, The light was on anyway. Didnt realy know what to expect on how much it would use. Was prety amazed to be honest to find that it went there and back on the tank. A Friend of mine who has an old wrx says his drinks £20 worth of fuel just traveling too and from his house to the town a couple of times which isnt far atall, so got me thinking is mine just prety good or are they realy not as bad as people say. My previous car before my impreza was an astra gsi turbo and that used id say more.

How much fuel did you put back in the car at the end?
If you used 12 gallons (its a 13 gallon tank) then you averaged 28-29mpg, which isnt bad on a long run, less, ie 10 gallons, then thats 34mpg which is very good, though i doubt it was as good as that![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Average 18mpg in town for a 276bhp car, mid to high 20's on a new age, high 20's to low 30's on a classic (est)

Sounds like mine did about right then. I did take it steady to be fair as i wanted to use as little as poss. I used to have a uk turbo impreza around 6 years ago and that ws real bad, my type r which is apparently 310bhp seems very good, would be even better if the brought down the price of v-power
