I think my time is up. :(
The open road and a decent car for a quick blast round some twistys, heaven, is it not?
Wednesday evening i get the tool out the garage, its raining hard and its about 8 in the evening so with the weather and the time getting on, the roads should be clear (ish) and i doubt the scamera vans will be out on a night like this . The 1st set of twisty's arrive and i unleash the beast, the dccd working hard in the wet and the michelins hooking up into the camber feel suberb,27mph 30mph 32mph wow what a feeling , i brace myself for the long wide stright ahead and cog down a gear and accelerate hard up to the 40 limit, the turbo spooling up and doing its best to shove me back into the seat . Hard on the brakes the new racing pads hurl me down to the 30mph limit for the next set of bends which see me and the car take at the horrendous speeds of 34 35 miles an hour only to be greated by someone hiding in the middle of the trees on the other side of the road with a scamera van in the middle of no whear. Whats the point, for all you people that think theres a time and a place for a little press of the throttle your wrong, there is no where left in this country, i've allways had either a bike or a car in the garage as my toy and hobby but i'm beginning to think my time is up for these things, in the last 9 weeks i have accumulated 9 points doing no more than tootling along ( 2 vans hiding and one unmarked car) god help me if i where to be caught haveing a little fun. Touch wood every body because if your like me your luck may have ran out. .

Nightmare sounds like your licence has had a beating recently - I 've been at 9 points too once, and its a scary place to be. I had to be real careful for a while... couldn't stand the thought of having to sell the scoob. Funnily enough, 6 out of the 9 were in a diesel focus estate
Agree with you that there are fewer and fewer places where these cars can be 'enjoyed' within reason - if I ever win the Lotto I'm gonna build me a race track til then I'm on the lookout for those cameras...

Slow down! That post at the top was a blow by blow of events given a little sarcastic twist and for your information the other 2 incidents were not local to me. I have become mr J C B, the guy with a great big que behind me driving at 28mph . I get a little carried away sometimes and reach the dizzy heights of 35 miles an hour only to be abused for my crime **** em, i may well get that boat and hit the waves .

Went to a show recently in sheffield. Was speaking to the camera guys, showed me in the van. Main camera is good for 1 mile, and they can get your speed from a mile away. I doubt I would even see them, behind a bush or not.
