Just wondered, not that I need but does anyone know the average cost of a full respray in same colour as what is already on the car.
Seen a car I fancy but needs a respray to look good.

any colour inside and out based on not to bad condition your looking around £2000 - £2500
As said u can get cheaper jobs but may not be as good
The price is realy for the Prepping as it can take hours to get 1 panel perfect and also a day in masking up and the actual painting doesn't real take that long

see, thats what i hate about forums, everyone quotes their numbers etc,if you werent commented on your price above then people will think £300 is a job price and be turing down other quotes of £800 etc
but hey, still £300 for doing it yourself

The cheapest i've done was a full re-spray on a mates white classic (few minor chips + dents)for a grand +vat and the most expensive was a mica yellow 350z gt4 that required a botched body kit blend and a full re-spray to rectify a poor colour match by the previous bodyshop, that one was £2250, so anywhere between those two prices would be a fair guess depending on colour and preperation required, i work as a sprayer/estimator in a nissan main dealers btw

As people have said above, it depends on the quality of the work, you can get a cheap spray for around £700 not including door shuts, under bonnet ect, or you can get the works for around £2000-3000, but that would be a top noch job, with lots of time and effort spent on it.
I personally would never buy a Subaru, knowing it needs a respray. i would just invest that money in the first place to finding a Subaru with good bodywork. But hey thats just my opinion

I lose these posts if it was me i'd be down to a bodyshop and getting estimates off them and having a looksie at the quality of work.
Oh and as for "paint is cheap" 22G has three tinters for standard shade, £40 a ltr for waterbase *Akzo* i would need around 4ltr so thats £200 on paint alone, lesonol prem clear with activators/thinner is £103 no mention of the primer/filler/stopper/disk's etc.
