Default Boot release - Spec c? HEEEEEEELP!!

Hi all,

Is there any way of popping the boot from inside the car in an MY03 spec c? Obviously there is no boot release lever, but in my Smart i have a little piece of wire in the parcel shelf which triggers the boot release for emergencies.

Failing that, how else could i retrieve a set of keys from the boot? If i take the back seats out the water tank will be in the way wont it?

I hid my spare set of keys years ago cause i was paranoid about people breaking into the house to steal the car, but now i can remember where i have hidden them

Cheers

There isn't a firewall on the spec C, depending on where the keys are you should be able to get at them if you take the seats out.

Thanks for the quick reply Bluenose, all sorted now.

Took the back seats out and as you said there is no firewall; and fortunately just enough space to squeeze an arm past the water tank. The keys were right at the far end which was a PITA but a wire coathanger did the trick

Now to find the spare set
