p1 splitter fitting

Default p1 splitter fitting

what is the best way to fit a p1 splitter? is it to self tapper then put some kind of addesive on the middle bit below the number plate

i think some peeps use tiger seal , but its a one chance jobby as once its tuck its stuck

am sure someone who has fitted one will be along later to confirm

I put two Pop Rivets in eachside and tigersealed the middle



Been on for two years

I put 2 self-tappers on the middle and 1 each on the wheel arches.

It was solid enough and meant it could be easily removed if necessary

Ah, OK..

Looking at the middle section which others "glue" onto the OE bumper, I placed a self-tapper in each of the top corners of that part. Bit fiddly but doable with a short screw-driver...

You can just see the screws in this pic on each side..



Possibly not everyone's cup of tea but I decided function over form in this instance.

Believe it or not, my HT Autos P1 splitter was that good a fit, i only had to use a self tapper screw at each wheel arch on the bumper to hold it on, 2 years later and its still grand!!

Shame mine want crack other day, dam high curbs. I use silicone in the middle look a right mess now removed, need new 1 fitting as the silicone done come off. Advise use screws as said above.

hi im about to fit my p1 style splitter to my99 bumper but it has like a small black surround around each side at bottom. does this come off or does the splitter cover over these?
