Red face Dumb Question: Just had my 3 year service (30,000) at Prosport, and when I was leavin

the guy said something like "check the fluid levels in a few days, i've just topped it up again now but just be safe check it in a few days when the cars cold" and said something about air in the system...

this was the other week I had my car done and I've only just remembered. The only problem is, ive no idea what to check?? sounds like a newbie question i know but im not the most technically minded of people

So if anyone can tell me what it is I should be checking and how I check it please let me know! lol.. im guessing its some kind of water level?

Thanks

Hi, at a guess, it may be referring to the coolant levels. I had a new radiator fitted to my previous classic (130k miles, lasted quite well) and after the replacement the system was airlocked so needed bleeding - my guess would be to check that... make sure the heater works etc. then let it warm up during a short drive, then let it idle and make sure the temp is stable, fans come on & go off etc.

I would check the oil level too after the same run (should be somewhere between the top two marks once its warmed up I think)

Hope that helps

I would put a quick call through to Prosport and ask them to remind you what it was you had to check. They are a good set up and i am sure they won't mind. Better safe than sorry.
