Default Shocks

Looks like the shocks dealer quoted me about £300 plus fitting. Can't mind if this was for 1 or 2.

Mines in for new rear shocks next week, but fortunately just before the warranty runs out. I think subaru should replace them even if the car is out of warranty as it seems to be a common fault that nearly every Sti has to have done at some point.

My hawkeye wrx sti 2006 has also developed a similar noise. It is only at slow speed and on bumpy road. However, it has just had a full service, MOT and an full geo check. Nothing could be found, bugging me to death!!!!

Dealer told me new shocks and mountings.£300 per shock £78+vat for mounts, and £65+vat per hour for labour a kings ransom i don't think so.I will fit myself and save about £800.

PS. Dealer also told me that thare is a design fault in the shockers.

Bought my 03sti from new and subaru fitted Two sets of rears until the warranty ran out, must be costing them a fortune!
Looks like the 08 model has addressed this though cos the rear suspension has changed at last.
