I know that a garage could quite simply remove a broken wheel nut, but since i do not have the tools in my garage, does anybody know how much this would cost at a tyre fitter/garage?

i had two locking wheel nuts break on my last car - the local tyre centre removed them both for nothing (i bunged the mechanic a tenner for his troubles but he was happy to do it!).
give them a go

Yeah thats the sort of thing that i was hoping for. I did just buy a tyre from a local garage so hopefully they will do it as a good will gesture or something as i am going to be buying a whole new set soon...
