Its just proof that no matter what car you get there will always be an idiot willing to drive like a **** to try and beat you ffs its a veyron id just drive behind it and dribble. you have to respect cars like that. I think the police should get tape and lock him up (for the hair goatee and shirt combo lol)

it's 20k for a set of tyres for the veyron (last months EVO mag) and I think the cost works out at £40 a mile to run it.

Its right what someone has already said, how many of us driving our scoobys and you get some **** beside us in a corsa who decides to race off thinking you going to go chase a car with less power then a lawnmower!!!!

Still would have liked to see the outcome if the veyron driver was up for it, Ive seen vids of the veyron against a R1 so it would take one seriously modded scooby to keep up!!!

 

On a similar theme, I was "owned" by a "suit" in an A5 the other night, couldn't be bothered.... no "bragging rights" with that badge are there ?

TBH...i recon the scooby is seriously modded...listen to how quick it revs and the LCD speedo cluster...maybe a Motec dash.

But I thought the R1 was more about acceleration than mid-range power and top end speed. A better comparison would be between the Veyron and a Busa Turbo. Now that I would like to see!

 

I agree! I was behind a Nissan GTR the other day, and that's where I stayed! Didn't even attempt an overtake!

 

I still like to give chase to anything that will play be it a mini classic to Aston Martin ect sometimes they go sometimes they don't. I like to think even if i don't stand a chance there will be a few seconds where Mr Ferrari will be thinking oh no.....it may be very childish but its very fun all the same.......

Guy is clearly a numpty, even my scooby would give that car a run so it's nowhere near 800 imo.

This is what an 800hp scooby goes/sounds like, hell i've had the luxury of a ride in an 800hp skyline, that scooby imo is no more than 400 heck i reckon my classic could give it a run.

I suspect only the likes of an Andy.F Scoob et al would give a veyron a good run for it's money, and that Scoob in the vid did not give that impression.

Those Veyron's are meant to do:

0-62 in 2.5s
0-100 in 5.5s
0-150 in 8.6s

In standard "shopping" road trim and pump fuel.

Taking in to account that Andy recently took 9.04 to get to 158mph, the Veyron is a right tool. I can't see much in the world (road legal) sticking with a Veyron from 100mph onwards.

 

another fact to show how fast the veyron is-
if a mclaren f1 and a veyron had a race to 200mph, the veyron could let the mclaren f1 get to 120mph before he even set off and still get to 200mph first
