Default JDM power

ok car is down at scoobyclinic getting solaris installed etc anyway they stuck it on the dyno and I was told its only producing 286bhp. Now I thought being a JDM hawkeye it would be more towards the 300 mark, I was told it was 320 but always expected a little below that. Im I mistaken about the power output???

Different dynos give different readings etc. Should be 280 ish albeit most say the JDM's are higher. My old Spec C (MY05) came in at 294bhp as nature intended which did disapoint me initially (was also expecting about 320!). Few mods later though & she was about 375

My old MY03 spec c ran 288bhp originally with about 1800 miles on the clock, by 10k she was pushing 316bhp this was with a panel filter though.
Most likely your car's mulitiplier has knocked itself back due to the fuel, hence you are seeing lower bhp figures, but note that anything over the standard 276 quoted BHP figure is a bonus 320bhp isnt common, more in the region of 310.

Waste of money in a new age JDM car (these ecu's are the best subaru factory ones)
Spend the money on the suspension instead

Mine was mapped before mods @ 309bhp

After H&S 3" System (100 cell cat), Green filter, Fuel pump, AF - remap 333bhp & 378ft/lbs.

Not a great difference in BHP but it's the torque that counts
