LOL it seams i missed all of this!
To be honest, i do remember wondering why the name had been changed from scooby shootout to the scooby live thing, now i know the reason, webclown was trying to get his mucky paws into some other business
Everybody i know always called it Scooby Shootout, and it was confusing to see SN market its "Live" bollocks.
Its just another one of them Scooby Fail business ideas that seam to come and go from time to time

The sprint series was busy enough without the added burden of the "live" content !
IMHO
dunx
P.S. I'd be gutted if it ended up as two days of fun, with some camping inbetween

Hmm if the owners of the area were being that awkward you really can't blame sdb for ditching them in favour of another venue.
Still it has royally messed things up, i wonder what happens to the paid up entries has sdb still got the funds or were they passed onto the original event owners.
It's a messed up situation that's for sure.

How sad and Scooby Shootout is only two weeks away.
As a former winner of Scooby Shootout I remember these early events well and aside from anything else I never thought Steve Darley or Dave Peck got the recognition they deserved for bringing this into the reguar Subaru Events callendar.
I see Steven has some very strong and forthright views.
It may be a couple of years since I last spoke to Trevor Duckworth but he is a gentleman, a man of his word in my experience and if you cut a vein open I guess you would find Castrol R. He is interested in the wellbeing of motorsport in general.
Now normally when some party will not deal with the other, except in writting it is because they want a record of exactly what has been said, done or agreed because there is a lack of trust or the relationship is breaking down. I cannot see any straight operator objecting to communication in writting. That way both parties are absolutely clear in what is happening.
Trevor organises all the events at Elvington I have been involved in and has his own following through Straightliners and clearly he and Lateral thinks SS is happening there on 20 September.
Good luck in sorting it because Scooby Shootout would be a great loss to the Subaru Community.
