What year are they referring too ?

My guess would be the new hatchback. V7 - bug, V8 - blob, V9 - hawkeye I guess hence V10 = the pig ugly hatchback
All daft really as the versions officially stopped at V6.
I would ask for the MY and shape.

Mmm, great ! There are some lovely looking seats I had my eye on but have heard the new hatchback ones are rubbish regardless of brilliant they look.. I'll put a pic up, that may just help, hang on and I'll whip over to photobucket and be back in 5 mins

How much are you paying for them if you dont mind me asking?
Do try and see if you can sit in them first as my guess is you won't find them as good as the classic seats in terms of how they hold you in.
You maybe better trying to source some bugeye STI seats as they were narrower and hold you in better.
I wish people would drop all this Version number nonsense as there really were no versions after 6 and as we can see it just confuses people.

i prefer the comfort of the classic seats compared to newage seats, but eceryone has there own opinion, im sure they'll clean up well and they do look nice.
whats the reason for wanting to change your classic seats for these?

Mine are looking quite tatty now with a lot of loose threads, just sort of ruins the appearence after doing so much to her already. I was going to go for the bugeye sti seats originally but can't find any at a price I like, there are a few on fleabay but I think 500 quid is a bit over priced, what do you think ?
I saw these on the same site and thought I'd enquire here 1st in case they were the later later new style hatchback ones which I'm sure don't fit the classic and look a bit rotten in comparrison but I got a bit confused like you say when it said V10. I had heard the later subaru ones are not as comfortable as ours maybe I should go and have a look at a few scoobs for sale in garages this weekend and sit on them and see what I think before i get something I'll be disappointed with.
Thanks for your imput, it all helps.

No such thing as a version 10 but if they kept the numbering for the japanese cars then it would be an MY04 car.
Fortunately they didnt and it stops the confusion, with the exception of people who have no understanding why they stopped the numbering
Could be anything from 2004 onwards.

Yeah the bugeye ones tend to be pricey. I paid 450 for a full set front and rear, but they were A1. Just have a sit in any 2004/2005/2006 STI and those will be what you are buying. See if you like them first.
