Hi guys having trouble getting reverse ,neutral fine spring fitted ok ,detent gate 1 to 5 good selection ,reverse hit and miss ,if you pull it hard and wiggle it somtimes goes in ,not always tho

 

mine did the same, not driven it for 20 months so yet to find a solution, hopefully my short shift will do the trick

possibly linkage bushes?

 

Try selecting 2nd gear before engaging reverse.

 

yeah tried that ,it is better m8 , will study gearbox manual later , have looked at bushes they ok just a little flex in the stabiliser bush ,checked both u j joints ok ,shaft free in tailhousing of box so looks internal fault ,might take tail housing off box and have a look .keep tuned in
