Newbie saying hello
Hi there,
Making a first post to say hi to everyone... I am based in south Derbyshire, I have just purchased a red 2003 WRX PPP. I am going back to pick it up later on today once funds have cleared.
My previous car was an M Roadster (S50).
Feel free to point me in the direction of any newbie threads, this is my first Subaru

Thanks all
I have not long got home, took the long way back along the Fosse Way. There is a slight issue (which I picked up on the test drive) with the front left disc brake making a rubbing sound under braking, but I think I might have found the answer:

The car is very low mileage, only done 3000 since last November when the car was purchased from Subaru as an approved used car by the previous owner, so I surmise that the caliper may be sticking. I don't think it's a bearing because there is no constant grumble and it is only prevalent during braking above 40mph or so.
I'll get a few proper pics up after work tomorrow or Tuesday, but here's one shamelessly stolen from the advert.
Yes that is a towbar :|

I've enjoyed RWD for a while (a Z3 3.0, a Z4, an S2000 and most recent the Z3M) but the way the WRX hooks up coming out of a corner is very impressive and fun in a different way It's certainly a rapid car and the low to mid range grunt makes it an effortless drive.
I was tempted to go the whole hog and get an STI, there was little in it from the perspective of insurance but the purchase cost of a 2003 STI would have been 3 or 4k more of course.
Maybe next Sunday I will get a Spec D (presuming I win the lottery Saturday night)

Sure:
Ganador stainless steel exhaust (Impreza, modified to fit - basically a longer tailpipe after the back box)
Stock filter and engine map (although looking at a trip to TSL/Powerstation or JGM soon)
Tein Super Wagon coilovers with EDFC (electronic control)
Tyre pressure / temperature monitoring system
Rota Force alloy wheels with Hankook 235 tyres
Godspeed two piece front discs with performance pads
Goldcruise fully integrated cruise control
Pioneer double din radio 7 speakers (stock locations - Foresters have a 6x9 sub in the boot)
Subaru mats, dog guard and boot liner
I would guess that you have all seen the Fifth Gear review on Youtube / Dave

Thanks! They are quite rare, even the normal models. The UKDM top of range is the 2.5XT, WRX engine.
