Thinking of getting myself an STI Style V-Lip spoiler from Scoobyparts.com

Any of you guys out there got one of these beasties ?
Just wanted to check the quality of the part and see how easy they are to fit basically

There ****e TBH

Was gutted as i broke my genuine sti one into 3 pieces dur crap roads in London so I bought a 'cheap' one from scoobyparts.

It didn't fit too badly most of the holes lined up but not all.

The quality is fair, but there is a very thin layer of paint on it, I put it on, on sat and went for a blast sunday morning and it was covered in stone chips to which i have 5 witnesses who saw it before and after.

But you get what you pay for, i would suggest if you do buy spray it a couple of times with some stain black paint should last a bit longer.

Sorry scoobyparts...........

eh? The one from scoobyparts is a genuine subaru part which comes unpainted and lines up perfectly with the bumper, well mine did on my old classic. I then had it painted along with the bumper and it didn't chip up at all for ages.

Genuine STi lip spoilers are IRO £300+.
They come with about 15 retaining bolts that need to be drilled under the front spoiler.
Think they're made of PU, so more resistant to impacts than the copies - mine has ripped rather than shattered.
If you buy whatever type of lip spoiler, be prepared to lose it at some stage!

Apologies for any confusion caused guys, i should have mentioned i was after a new age lip spoiler and not a classic. The classic ones are indeed original subaru parts where as the new age are just copies

The fibre glass lip spoilers are a waste of time. I broke mine almost instantly.

The current one I have is from HT Autos (Hawkeye lip spoiler). It has been scraped underneath a few times but is still fine. It is made of similar stuff to the OEM part I think but at half the price.
