spec c seats
Guys justa quick one.
at what point did subaru change the seats in the spec c from the blur and black to grey and black?
from what i can find out it was from the hawkeye model that they changed?
am i correct. if so i assume these will be a direct fit into my 2005 t25?
and as for the door cards, would the spec c door cards fit or are the blobeye and hawkeye door cards different?
i have noticed that the wrx door cards are trimmed in grey fabric, would these fit in the t25 so the door cards match the spec c seats or would they look wrong and out of place and i am better off waiting to get a set or have my ones re-trimmed?
thanks
steve

Yes you are correct in fact all the seats will fit into all of the cars, you can even get the newage ones into a GC8.
I had bucket seats when i bought my Spec C Wr Ltd, the original interior was sold by the previous owner for over a grand, as it was a limited full blue interior with Subaru World Rally team written on it.
I then bought some cheap JDM wrx seats for the front, while I hunted down a full black interior from a Hawkeye Spec C, which I have just managed to get from a very nice man called Ian.
Also manged to get a Spec C black carpet from the wanted section yesterday. Now just got to fit all of it
Best of Luck

Personally I would keep the interior "period" to the MY year of the car.
As regards to door cards be careful.... early RA Spec C's did not have electrics (like mine) and the door cards are different, depending on switch gear (if required/used). Only the later "gay" Spec C's lol, had the electric packs (unless it is a motorsport version iirc).

guv do you have a pic of the trim fitted by any chance?
and shaun i understand what you mean about leaving as is but i think in a black car the black seats, trim and carpet would set it off without spending stupid money on some new recaro's or similar, saw a mk2 t25 up at litchfield on saturday with some cracking recaros bit at £900 each i dont think they will end up in mine,
cheers

no worries guv
am i right in thinking that the black spec c seats were in fact only fitted to the hawkeye spec c as i have looked on the web trying to find images, reviews etc and earlier spec c 01-05 upto the blobeye still came with the black/blue seats where all of the 06 - hawkeye had the nicer black/black
or have i got that bit wrong?
cheers will be good to see what it looks like

Gus,
If you want luxurys then you have the WRONG car! Saying that.... electric windows have been retrospectively fitted to mine. roflol
Steve,
Yes, you are correct.

Sorry to but in but as your on the subject of interiors and door cards, do you guys know if the interior door handles and window switches are different from the classics to the bug/blob eyes ? Reason for asking I'm just about to change all mine in my classic, the door cards come without handles and switches and was wondering if they interchangable

I have a MY03 Spec C RA and it is blue / black interior, but differs from yours slightly. My seats are blue/black, but on your door cards you have a blue armrest and blue insert just above. I have a black armrest, but still have the blue insert above that.

You can get to differ all you like.
Mine is an RA and was the 1st in the UK and it has the blue / black seats, with blue on the door cards.
This is the Autocar review of the very car I own (as in, this is the actual car I own), when it was first imported brand new back in 2003. You can see the interior colours.

I have also seen others (in the flesh imported by LI) with the blue/black interior on a blobeye. I certainly know the Motorsport Spec C's never had the blue/black interior. One of those pictures above, the car has no wheel arch liners..... motorsport version perhaps?

For a cheap option... I bought a WR1 interior in black on black for my STI.
Blue seats in a black car just seemed wrong. I have a standard grey carpet, and would dye it if I could be bothered.

dunx been looking at the wr1 seats to as i assume they are the same as any sti but in black, but the same goes mate just like the spec c set up its hard to find unless some poor sod has written it off.
on the hunt for both although i have sourced the front and rear spec c seats, and a carpet but not sure if they did a charcoal or black need to pop a pic of the carpet up to see if i have the correct on or not but not had the chance to do it.
so in the mean time i am after to door cards!
cheers
