Looking for a uk impreza upto £3500??
As above. A friend of mine is looking for a low miles uk turbo. It has to be in very good condition. Anyone selling up? I thought it best to look on here first.
Thanks,
Dan.

PistonHeads.com :: Speed Matters is your best bet though what exactly he is after (year wise) and mileage (most will be 100k+ but you will get some bargains out there ) and its a total minefield, lots to choose from and they all need a hpi check so make sure he picks carefully

I will be selling my Jap import STi shortly. Currently sourcing a new engine for it (big end went - oh joy), mileage was 88000 miles, but with a different engine going in... am sure you can appreciate the mileage will not be 'true'. I had a new gearbox and clutch put in 4 months ago. Let me know if you are interested, I could perhaps save myself alot of pain trying to find an STi engine and put in a standard wrx if you'd be interested.
Regards, Paul.

I recently bought my JDM sti. What I found when looking was you could either buy cheap and got a slightly rough round the edges example, or had to spend £4k+ to get a minter. In the end I hung on and managed to get the sti for £3k. If he takes his time the right car is out there.

I've been watching PH for a while and mint 3K UK turbos go very quickly. £4K UK turbos hang around for ages unless sub 50K - even more so if they've got the slightest hint of poor mods.
A lad local to me had a mint green UK turbo that was very well cared for and he struggled to get £1800!
They've gone up a bit since everyone realised the government will bail us all out of our debt but the market is still very bad for them.
Although yours is an exception IMO.

I've got one, UK MY00, Silver, a/c, 47k genuine miles, full subaru history since new, only changes are 17" wheels and a prodrive backbox, (still have the originals in the loft). Have owned for 8 years, fantastic car, used every day, NO dents, cant imagine changing it for anything other than another Scoob (2005 JDM STi maybe), but as I'd want more than £5K for it, I'll end up keeping it I suspect until it becomes really sought after.

Its all about the buyer, not the seller here

Tony,
Totally agree, these cars have a limited market anyway, then to limit it even more (some want modded cars, others wont touch a modded one with a barge pole) so the number of people looking for a standard UK car will be very small, it's a car that maybe only a few people would pay top dollar for (even though its worth it). Which is why I'll end up keeping it, because to sell it for £4k-£4.5k I could just not do!, what can you buy with that to replace it with?, it's just hurtful when you compare it to other vehicles at similar prices you just think there is something wrong with the car market.
I just know I wouldn't be happy unless I bought another Scoob, (and as I cant afford one just at the moment - new house etc..) I will keep my VERY reliable, fun, fast, MY00.
They will eventually become very rare and quite sought after, then I'll want to sell it even less !!??
