anyone know what the closest sounding exhaust is to the wrc ones, that can be bought

First thing you need to do is change your headers to some true equal length one's.

A lot depends on which era of WRC you mean, as the exhaust system design, and consequently the engine note, changed quite a bit.

As Finchyboy says, equal length headers are the key. If you want the best/most authentic replica of the early WRC system then you might as well go straight here.
