Default urgent help required no brakes!

first of i have a classic wagon import 95 wrx, this afternoon i have changed one of my front shocks, while doing this i disconnected the brake hose from the caliper to remove it from the old shock (some fluid came out but not a lot), i put it all back together and now my handbrake warning light is on and i have no brakes! i have tried pumping the pedal but it just keeps sinking to the floor.

any help please as i also have to change my other three shocks so will need to disconnect the brakes on them aswell no doubt.

cheers
neill.

since you split the brake hose, you now require to bleed the brakes on that side, possible now all 4 since you have put air in the system

As above, you need to have the brakes bled or do it yourself with the help of a friend

i couldnt see any other way, the brake hose runs through a hole on the side of the shock absorber.

also the new springs i have seem to be about 3 inches longer than the old ones, is this right with the original springs being so old? surely they dont compress that much over the years or is it more likely i have been sent the wrong springs?

most people cut the bracket, bend it open, push in the pipes then bend it closed after. much easier and makes no difference to the bracket.
