Default whats needed for 350bhp from 95wrx

Hi all , i have 1995 wrx and looking to get it to around 340-350 bhp going to be getting a remap soon , and not sure what else I need , and if the turbo is big enough , it has a td05 16g on it at the moment , would a 20g be better suited , or would this make it hard to drive as a road car , as its only used on roads and occasional track use,

so far engine wise, it has

hybrid FMIC
3" decat and blitz nur spec full stem 3" but reduces to 2,5 where it joins the decat,
walbro fuel pump
parallel fuel rails
550cc injectors (not fitted yet)
fuel pressure regulator
K&N 57i
new/uprated coil packs

what else do i need , apart from a remap and fitting injectors ,and later map sensor, cheers

The 16 is fine, the 20 would be too much for your engine tbh and too laggy, you will also require the car to be mapped, either with an after market ecu or a piggy back ecu chip, and I would add brakes to that lot, the standard 2 pots couldnt stop a skateboard at 5mph, let alone a scoob!

You're cheapest option, and one that works well would be the ESL Live ecu upgrade, with later map sensor to run higher boost.
With the above mods should get you near the figure you want. I have this, with sports cat and 440's, and getting a genuine(dyno dynamics RR) 335bhp, would be more with de-cat and 550's.

Thanks for replies , so do i need to get some new/ported headers , are the standard wrx headers restrictive? or is this just to make it spool up quicker,
also is the 16g definitely big enough and should it be reliable at this power , as i don't mind changing it for a 20g , just want to try and get the most out of the remap , cheers

The 16G will be near it's limit, but will be fine.
The headers are a good idea, the standard ones will hold you back. Speak to Harvey, to see if ported or stainless would be best for you. The stainless ones tend to come into their own at higher power.
The more important issue, would be how long your box will last. The 20G would exaggerate this, as chances are you'll exceed the 350 with it, which would kill most classic 5 speeds very quickly! Then you're into 6 speed territory, and lots of money!

When i had my 96 WRX mate i was running at 320.

That was with FMIC..Walbro..Pressure regulator...K&N..Fully decatted..Uprated MAP sensor and an ESL Daughterboard.

TD05 was maxxed out so all i'd say is injectors..VF Turbo and an ESL and you should see in the region of 340.I rekon the spool up on the 20G might be too great as mine was starting to get a bit laggy especially with the FMIC.

Mine was fuking quick at 320 so 350 should make it a proper flyer!

First are your brakes upgraded as the standard 2 pots are not up to the job , also are you on a standard clutch because anything over 300lbs of torque will mean it will not last long , also the standard gear box does not like over 300lbs of torque for long just some other points or costs to bear in mind .

yeah have upgraded brakes to 4 pots and getting some 2 pot rears , have a 22mm ARB and solid droplinks, coilovers/adjustable top mounts,
I understand that i will need a stronger gearbox , but was planning on just changing them when they break , as its a second car it doesn't matter to much if it does break down , cheers
