My friend insists that there is s 2 door WRX RA.... (non-STi) (GC8 of course)

Supposedly the base for the 22b, however, I have never in my life come across a 2 door RA..... they have all been 4door.....

It says there is one on the SIDC database, but I have never seen one either in an ad or in the flesh..... or when googling or anything...

I am under the impression that all 2 doors are simply "Type R"..... but was there ever a 2door Type R RA??!

 

There are Type R WRX V Limited which has no skirts etc as standard. Its basically a 2door WRX as it hasent got the STI engine or brakes/ dcd etc although it has a roof vent. Perhaps this is the version he means?

 

22B is based on the V4 Type R not RA.

ra's only came in 4 door..
the only coupe or 2-doors are type-r,p1,and the one the only 22b
tell your mate he should stop smoking that funny stuff,,

scubbay is right in that you can get a Type R WRX.

Some did refer to it as a 2 door RA because when the first one was on here, most people said it was bodge JDM build before realising it was possible to get a non-sti Type R.

As above, Type R refers to the 2 door bodyshell (the R comes from the "Retna" which was the 2 door impreza N/A)

spent 6 months trying to find a good impreza,and thought the -r was the beast to have can you find me a pic or better,one for sale as i would swap mine now for this mythical beast......

 

Its understandable how the 2 door ra myth started......basically it shares the chassis code withe the ra......but Subaru never marketed it as an ra....

I own a type-R wrx v-limited. As far as im aware it just shares some of the same parts as the ra, ive never heard it called an ra tho. Mine has the same close ratio box as the ra , the ali wish bones and the ali bonnet, Mine also has a vf22 turbo, not sure if this came on the ra or not but i dont think its on a 4 door wrx as standard.As stated in some of the posts above, mine also comes without the skirts and spats. It also had a very small spoiler, ive added the sti one and the front lip.
