I have a k&N air filter on car and was just wondering what the best way of cleaning it was, any ideas, also is there any thing else i am missing for a service, only bought car a month ago and is on 70000 miles last service at 65 where cambelt was replaced, all help apreciated

The K&N probably doesn't need cleaning, there is a kit from K&N themselves that will do the trick if its really dirty.

Just make sure you fill the oil filter with new oil before fitting it & pull off the crank sensor plug & turn the engine over after filling it with new oil till the oil pressure light goes out on the dash, before you start it.

I wouldnt bother oiling the filter it might damage your MAF. In fact I Dont clean the K@N anymore, just brush out any leaves or big particles.

I use brake cleaner and a power hose for the K&N's and then lub back up with abit of WD40. Always worked for me!
