Default S202 Turbo Type?

Does anybody know which type of turbocharger was fitted to the S202?

I am considering getting one but the advert for the car says it has a twin scroll turbocharger but I thought the factory fitted turbocharger is a VF34.

Also if it does have a VF34 fitted what is the tuning level in terms of bhp for this turbo, I have read about 350bhp and the turbo runs out of puff.

It is of course possible that I am wrong or that the car has had a conversion but can anyone clarify this for me?

VF34 Turbo AFAIK. Do you have a link ?

There were no bugeye twin scroll's that rolled out of the factory.

I think a few S202's came in before the regs (euro 3) took hold and model reports were needed, I would have a chat with Iain Litchfield though

Is there not a change in the regulations due shortly? Will it be possible to register one of these in the future?

This is the car that I am going to have a look at tomorrow, it is just up the road from where I work so it is not too far out of the way and I can P/X my Hawkeye against it as well.

If anyone does have a S202 what is it like compared to a 'standard' Impreza, my 2006 2.5 WRX has had a few modifications (have a look at my garage) and is running 285bhp and loads of torque Do you think it will be a worthwhile 'upgrade'?

S202, 320ps, 290ish lbs torque, spec c chassis, yes its worth the upgrade depending on when it was imported into the country

Of course its a super upgrade and the top of the tree imo

but only like Tony says if you can drive it on the road, make sure it has a model report...
