hello everyone, my names stuart and im from luton, bedfordhire anyone from near here??
Currently on the hunt for a scooby but not sure which one. its either going to be the wrx or turbo 2000. not sure of the difference between them except the insurance???
hopefully i can get some hints and tips from here
(sorry if this in wrong section)

WRX [if classic shape] with be a JDM Spec Car [Jap Domestic Market]

i think the WRX's have bigger turbos and run slightly more BHP (upto 270) -- but again there are power differences between wagon and saloon on the JDM's (i think)

the UK turbo had two types of engine - phase 1 and phase 2 -- the change over was around 1998/9

phase 2 had an increase in torque and power went from 215 to 225 (approx) and I think the phase 2 is regarded as a better engine (stronger block better heads etc) but I could be wrong

brakes also better on 98/99 year -- 4 pots as standard

ah so im better off getting a 98/99 wrx then, need the stronger engine as i will want to tweek it and dont want to kill it lol
