Thumbs up

This picture was sent to me by a friend in Ontario. Apparently this person does ice sculptures all the time, this one is very poignant.

I will try again

Sorry I can't get it uploaded

You need to have it hosted on some public webspace and not on your PC!

I take it sensitivity is not your strong point then rsquire?

It has nothing to do with sensitivity.. Rather a lot more with totally crass reporting on American TV news.

This country is so insular that if you only followed the news here then no one other than americans died in that tragic event.

Yes, I understand that a lot of NYFD and NYPD personnel were killed in this tragedy. I do feel for their families and have contributed to several charities to help them.

However, my point is that many more NON americans died while also simply going about their daily routine.

The fire fighters simply make a good photo-op as they say..

Sadly, that and the 12 second sound bite, are all that the American TV channels are interested in.

But then what would a man who doesn't like Gold wheels know about sensitivity

...and firefighters take the job knowing the risks. People working for investment banks in high-rise towers don't

Yeah, firemen (& women) deal with this on a lesser scale all over the world, every day. But if you can't see the point of this you have learned nothing from it.

Same goes for all the racist nonsense on other posts tonight.
