How do I tell if these alloys are lacquered?

Default How do I tell if these alloys are lacquered?



Its just the Auto Glym alloy cleaner I've bought says to only use on lacquered alloys, these are fairly mint alloys so don't want to risk putting the wrong stuff on them.

Wash them down with water and the surface will be quite shiny and very smooth (a lot smoother than just paint)

If they're the original paint finish or have been repainted professionally you should be ok, as all metallics need a top coat of lacquer over the metallic base coat
