Scraping metallic sound when braking to a stop (pads discs are ok)
Hello guys
Bugeye 2002
Last week the right wheel of the car began making a scraping sound - metal on metal rasping noise - when i would slow right down and brake to a stop. This noise only occurs when i brake below 5mph to stationary.
I took it to the garage who removed the right wheel and brakepad, briefly cleaned it of any grit/dust and put them back on. The disc and pads are not worn and there did not seem any obvious problem. Problem solved....until today!
The car brakes decently. I will take it to the garage first thing but figured id post the issue on here. I am clueless with this one. Done a few searches and people have mentioned handbrake, ABS system etc...Just wondered what peoples immediate thoughts are.
thanks

usually if i hear that sound (normally in the work van) it means pads are down time to replace. if a garage has already checked then i dunno to be honest unless there is a bit of metalic trapped between the pad and disc
