the 1st scooby cabriolet! crash yesterday :-(
some tosser drove into the back of our beloved sti yesterday on M25 junction 30, Lakeside exit. we had to have roof removed to get us out as we had suspected spinal injuries, luckily all we got is whiplash, could've been so much worse. We were stationery when he hit. took fire brigade ages to get roof off as they are made so well.

if anyone wants parts please call 07895 914301 as we will try to buy it back from insurance co. It had only done 24,000 warranted miles with full subaru history. It had pro drive springs and exhaust. excellent tyres and brakes all round. last service was July at 21,000 miles.

Any pics of the back? Must have been a tasty impact for you to think you had spinal injuries not just whiplash. At least you weren'r slammed into the car in front too.

Ouch, glad you're okay.
If you do buy it back - I'm looking for the conector that goes on the back of the air bag. I'm looking to fit a Hawkeye 'black' sti steering wheel to my classic.

Glad you're all ok.
Its standard practice for the emergency services, even if the injuried party has got out of their crashed vehicle and got into another one, they'll want to chop the roof of that vehicle.
A mate of mine took his 15 yr old son to the hospital in his own car, a Jaguar (as no ambulances were available). He had a suspected broken leg & when he got there, the hospital refused to remove him from the Jag, saying they wanted the fire service to attend, chop the roof off and spinal board him out!!!
He told em to stick it and his son got out under his own steam.
I actually think they just like chopping roofs off cars!
As said already, any pics of the STi from the rear?

Got a feeling the fire brigade wrote the car off and not the guy who hit you?

Seeing that reminds me of a friend of mine who worked for the highways agency, he happened to turn up a the scene of an accident & offered assitance to an elderly lady who was wandering about injured, he put her in the back of his 3 day old Discovery, when the ambulance turned up & asked her how she was she complained of back pain, the fire brigade cut the roof of to get her out.
Now the highways agency will not let any of its employees put people in there vehicles. Also the insurance did not pay out on a technicality.
