Default Driver Training courses

Anyone know of any driver training courses you can do around West Yorks? I'm thinking I might buy the wife something so she can get used to the MY03 STI.

Cheers

Hi, not quite the answer you are expecting, but you could contact corradoboy on here, he's an ex-Subaru owner and qualified driving instructor, he is based somewhere around Tong IIRC.....

Or they do driving "experience" days at Elvington, one of which may be an STI ?

Yeah, anything to give her a bit of confidence with it. Think she is a litle nervous at driving it to start with.

It is a good idea. but i wouldnt worry too much my misses was petrified off driving mine as it was "too fast" and "noisy" after i explained its only as fast as you want it too be and a few goes out late at night when there was no traffic. She was fine that fine she used to say ill drop you off at work today and pick you up later theres no point in leaving it parked up all day lol.

i recently done the Porsche 911 turbo and impreza sti (hence me buying a impreze since that day)

my girlfriend got me it for my birthday, and the extended day. It was great fun but very very quick, about 10 laps in the 911 turbo and 5 laps in the sti. It was alof and pretty useful, i would not say it was training tho, you jump in and they show you the racing line. Definately worth a go, if you turn up on the day you can pay per lap.

I know its not driver training on tarmac, but a few years ago i did a days rally taster at Chris Burkbecks near whitby. It was awesome, great package, great fun and great staff, i would certainly recommend that!
