Default Surprised by a Clio 197

One of these things really surprised me yesterday.

The thing raced off the line, hammered it around a tight bend and was gone...........................
I was half asleep at the time but hey..........fair play, this thing was quick and handled like it was on rails.

LOL at TX

The clio is no match for your 330 bhp rb5 in the right hands....or wrong hands, whichever way you view it.

almost 200 bhp in a shoe box...dont be surprised..

i had a 172 and that was quick..handled quite well too so i can imagine another 20bhp would make it go very well

Agree .........in theory.

I must admit though, dial the revs round and dump the clutch and it's neck snapping, not much comes close, but as I say, 6am is a touch early for me.

I usually find that it's a classic Impreza doing the "keeping up"....

I raced a white one with black wheels round some country lanes down here, I was disappointed it was nothing, I thought the 182 looked and went better

Not really sure why folk with modded cars bother to post that they expect to beat an unmodded one?

I can tell you all for CERTAIN, my lad's Clio would have kept up with my standard UK classic, 218bhp.

I whooped one so bad in my old 172 he gave up.

IMHO its only the straights they loose out on........
They gain on brakes and handling as std.

But face it most Impreza owners are purely straight line merchants, show them a corner and they'll run a mile
