What is the maximum safe power for a Newage WRX on standard internals?
Mine's starting to feel a bit sluggish now, anyone any idea what is a safe power level on standard internals?
Was thinking VF34, injectors, STi intercooler, fuel pump & remap.

Something I've often pondered myself!! Mine is an 05 wrx, been at 330 - 340 bhp for about a year now with no problems at all, car is a daily driver too, I've covered around 15,000 miles in it since the mods were done

They can do 400 with the correct supporting mods and careful tuning.
330-350 is where most people stop though; they can be perfectly reliable at that level: trick is to be sure that you have a god un to start with and go to the right people for tuning.
VF34/35 set based set up is excellent for the road. Have a word with David at APi

It's a hard one to call. Some can make 330+ or bonkers 400 on the standard internals.
As has been said careful tuning is the name of the game with supporting mods etc.
The clutch and gearbox won't like anything over 350 on a wrx.

Got mine in march 2006, had a a power chip upgrade from new but not sure of bhp, did 3" exaust/sport cat/fillter and pipe work ect during 06 but still not sure of bhp, april 07 upgraded from std td04 to a td05-20g/plugs/fuel pump ect and gotAndy.F to map it, following the re-map she had her first run on the rollers at powerstation, she did 329bhp/476nm on the 20-6-2007 with aprox 3'500 miles on the clock, next came an sti v8 tmic and another re-map this time she did 362bhp/481nm at powerstation on the 5-10-2007 with approx 4'500 on the clock, next was full de-cat/new up pipe and another re-map and made 370bhp/404lbf.ft at powerstation on the 22-3-2008 with approx 6'000 on the clock, she has since had a fuelab AFPR fitted and another re-map with Andy around summer 2008 but has'nt been on the rollers since, Andy's guess was around 380bhp/415lbf.ft ish, its now got 9'000 miles on it and its loosening up nicely

It ran the 1/4 mile in 13sec at 104mph & prob could have been down in the 12's if i was launching it.
The power was very good for the vf34 & pulled like hell all the way up the revs, but i dont think i would have liked to have put any more power through the standard clutch & gearbox.
