Be warned if your car is off the road and you filled in the tax redemption form out wrong you will be fined £25.

The V14 form to claim back your road tax has a little box on the right which appears to be in the "dont write here - official use" area.

Forgetting to tick the box and adding your address again will create a £25 fine and £45 if you do not pay that one.

My lesson has been learnt.

Another sharp means of increasing Tony Blairs bank account so he can pay for more Albanians to claim benefits and free NHS.

Jon,

This is pathetic! My sympathies.

Shame that there isn't a DVLA ombudsman to write to (maybe there is such an address on the form - like normal businesses tend to do to get their CAT mark or whatever).

Perhaps you could send a copy of the form to "The Plain English Society" as an example of a form that is hard to use?
