Best way to get a De-catted Turbo 2000 through MOT?
Hi,
Car is due its MOT in just over two weeks and I was wondering what is the best way to get it through the MOT? As it has got a de-cat downpipe on it.
Is there any tips on how to lower the emissions to a passable level? I do have the cat downpipe so is it just easier to have my mechanic refit that before testing it?
Ta!

some misunderstanding here.....
You can get a 2nd cat in the centre pipe, but the problem is that it doesnt get hot enough, also some sports cats are not actually that great, so with these two scenarios you need to take the above advice, and even then it only may pass.
Without a cat, no matter how hot it is, you have buckley's!

If the garage is legit then your car will not pass the emissions test with no cat. You will need to re-fit the cat down pipe. Even if you still have the centre cat it won't pass with just that.

If you get one that wont mind giving it abot off revd thro test it will help. Normally scoobs are good at emmisions, If not Forte emission cleaner and a good run may do it,
If it fails re test it with Cat on mate
If it fails re test it with Cat on mate
