just got myself a 03 wrx and love it . will whack up some more details and pics etc tomorrow nite . but just checked the oil and the stick has 3 twists at the bottom and a little snip marker . i take it the snip is the max ? think its between the bottom two twists if that makes sense . anyway the oil is an inch under that so need to get me some in the morning . but what number and oil do i need ?

the little snip you mention is a hot oil level. cold oil level should be between min and max these are identified by punch holes

welcome mate, i too have a 03 WRX and love it as well, hope you have lots of fun :-) just upgraded mine and love it even more, after 6 years of owning a moddified MR2 Turbo i was really surprised when i got the WRX as to how good it was, god knows what the STis must be like.
