Default CAMBELT.......... HELP PLZ.....

Had some bad news. found out my cambelt has gone on my 97 2.0 sport. I broke down at the side of road does anyone know wot damage it could of caused doing this or will it just need new cambelt??

i woz goin bout 30 n woz slowing down to pull in to a tight side road and i lost all power so prob bout by that time bout 10.

I'd go with Nick and say valves mate. But I'd have thought you may have done damage to the pistons/conrods depending on the speed. Also, try not to use text speak, you'll only get grief from the spelling police
