Hi All

Just wondering what this is? Its on my 1995 WRX RA and on the side is a sticker with apexi on there. Its disconnected, has been since i got the car.

Was told by previous owner it was something to do with the DCCD But we all know what previous owners can be like.

Have you tried tracing the wiring to it's termination point??

Also, what does the rest of the sticker say??

The rest of the sticker says "for use against unwanted passengers"!!

Obviously not lol, its all japenese apart from the apexi sign. The wire goes through the under carriage and towards the back of the car.

Manual DCCD maybe???

It does look a bit like the cable coming off of a ddcd box

The previous owner said some uprated diff was put on the car (not by him) and inturn meant the dccd wouldnt work

May make stuff a bit clearer

A 1995 WRX Type-RA wouldnt have a DCCD. The altered production WRX STI Type-RA did (available in white only with DCCD and a roof vent). It was the first model on which it was seen and it was a feature of every Classic STI Type-RA since, but its never been part of the specification of a WRX Type-RA.

GC8: Yeah i knew the WRX RA didnt have dccd fitted at all, i knew it even when the previous owner told me thats what this thing was for. I just figured it may have been added to the car at some point seen as it was apexi and not a subaru item.

But now i know its just a pointless mod (on my car at least) and can now remove it! So no more banging my knee on it!! Thanks for the info though
