phase 2 coil packs
need to check if my coil pack on my00 is faulty or not
can it be checked
or is it just the case of buying a new one and hoping this was the problem
cheers phil

What are the symptoms?
Difficulty with checking them is that the pack contains the igniters as well as the coils, which makes checking trickier, while in any case, a lightly degraded pack will usually look fine on a multimeter.

Yes, just had a look at your other thread. Don't bother with that "unplug the MAF and see if the engine stalls" test, it won't help you diagnose anything, unfortunately.
The easy way to rule in (or out) a lot of potential causes is to get a laptop running DeltaDash/ECU Explorer/EvoScan etc and log the thing under boost. If your MAF signal is dropping out you will see it clearly if you graph up the voltage on a brief WOT run.
It's impossible for any of us without direct access to your car to do much more than guess, but "jolting" under WOT is, if not overboost, probably more likely to be coil related than anything else. If you don't have access to any instrumentation, a process of elimination may be the only way forward.
