Default MUDFLAPS

With the onset of winter and the car gettin covered in salt and all sorts of c**p, thinking about getting a set of mudflaps for my 03 WRX.
How easy are they to fit? seen decent ones at scoobyworld.
Does it involve loads of drilling?

I fitted a set of mudflaps from Scoobyworld last year, they mostly use existing fixing points, but you do have to drill one hole on each side for the front flaps. Just make sure you have a nice sharp bit though as the place you have to drill is quite tough.

The Kaylan ones are a stiffer material, as used on WRC cars. They are available from Performance Creations. About £160.

if you're after getting them because you like the mudflap look and hope to keep the car a bit cleaner, then great, buy the best you can

however if you're only buying them to keep the car cleaner, i wouldn't bother. having used no flaps, flaps and then cut down ones on the front i'd say the car hasn't stayed any cleaner for using them. maybe the rear is a little dirtier, but not much.

TBH the only reason i use little cut down ones on the front is to get a small bit of protection from stones flying up.

for the price of a set of mudflaps that would buy an awful lot of good cleaning gear to get the winter crud off
