Default steering wheel

hi all,i have a 98 classic which has an airbag in the momo wheel.i want to replace the steering wheel with an aftermarket one.is it a straight swap with another momo wheel or are there any proplems.i have seen another wheel that isn't momo but apparently has the same bolt pattern,is this o.k.,any advice welcome?

you will need a boss kit for a air bag
then you can fit almost any wheel

Sparco has the same bolt pattern but as said above you will need a boss kit

yeh your going to need a bosskit mate, you can get them cheap from places like ebay or even off someone on here.

As has been said, a boss kit will do you fine. Worth having a word with your insurer prior to shelling out though.

insurance should be fine
mine where happy with my new wheel
airbags have some down sides

I know what you're saying about the downsides of the bag but the situation re. insurance varies from one place to the next. I've changed insurers in the past because they were **** about it. As said, better to check before than after, as at least then you know.

i agree you must check with your insurance
with everything you do with your car just to be safe
did not mean to imply you should not contact them as they are all different
