I am 1 month into an upgrade from 02 bugeye to 07 hawkeye...

Agreed, the seats are crap compared to the bug eye. Why did they do this

Had to change the suspension to Prodrive springs to sort the ride.

Wheel alignment and 2 front tyres ...£1,000 additional expenses in the first month. Not a low cost hobby

But whats taking the longest to get used to is the extremely light electronic accelerator. I have another post on this topic... https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...ml#post9091729
however, how r u finding the accelerator weight / resistance compared to the 02 cable based system?

because your little turbo can not deliver enough cold air at higher loads

Had mine 2.5 years now and its always pulled to the rev/limiter
fit a panel filter may be that will help.

mines running close to 500 bhp and it still dosn't pull hard to the limiter

allot depends on where the limiter is and what you mean by "pulled"

I doubt you will notice a panel filter but a decat and a remap would show good rewards

I accidentally went over my rev limit at Snetterton (didnt notice any slow down) - hit 8200 ... ooops

The reason the wrx seems to tail off after 5200 is that the TD04 is a very small turbo and it is trying to fill a 2.5 engine. It really cant cope that well.

Simple turbo swap (along with filter, decat and remap) is all that is needed to totally transform the car or filter, decat and map to give it a lot more mid range so that you dont need to cane it revs wise.
