Default Dyno Figures and the unsung hero of 2009

Just got the latest copy of EVO.

Once again the Focus RS fails to make anything like its 300bhp, this time it made 279bhp. where the other cars exceeded manufacture's figures - so we cant blame the dyno.

The FRS did 0-100 in 14.5secs and is beginning to look very ordinary now.

Shame the STi hatchback isn't given fair press I believe its a better car, faster and handles better in all weather (we live in England not California) and more economical. Looks wise I think its a step in the right direction, but the cockpit design and quality is low rent. Though as a total package I dont see anything for 26k matching its performance and handling and grip.

Anybody got any recent STi hatchback dyno figures. EVO indicated the STI hatchback was good for all 300 bhp easy with their long term car.

It took 10k miles to get 16bhp more out of my MY03 Spec C which I owned from new, until you see a mk2 FRS that has that sort of mileage on the clock, you probbaly wont see 300bhp out of it
