Default Exhaust advice

Had a couple of Imprezas now(non-turbo) but never had to replace an exhaust, not bad in seven years of ownership. MOT in Feb and a bit worried about a couple of holes in the front CAT section. I want to replace the whole system(down, centre and back) but all of the exhausts on Ebay are CAT back for £250ish. What's the best advice for a classic 2001(Y) sport owner that wants a nice backbox/noise and needs to replace the whole exhaust

depends what your budget is mate

id put it in for an mot first and see what it fails on, the exhaust needs to be excessivley blown to fail - small pin holes shouldnt fail - or not pass emissions

it sounds tho you mite need a replacemnat cat - either standard one or sports cat, both of which i woudl imagine are fairly pricey.

Cobra do a decat pipe for the non turbo that takes out both front cats for £120 and there is a system in the group buy section for £199 cat back.

Am I right in thinking the non turbo's are smaller diameter pipe? If so that would also narrow the field at used systems.
