Ferrari 355 Group Test Today - HUGE THANK YOU
#1
Hi All
The "Scooby vs Challenger" group test today (with the Ferrari 355) went incredibly well. We have a staggeringly good article to put together.
I would like to offer my HUGE thanks to everyone who came. It would obviously not have been possible without you all. It is a real testiment to our community IMHO.
Thank you also to everyone who offered their cars but couldn't be included due to numbers.
Thanks to Josh (photogrpahy), Paul Habgood (Video), Hoppy (Editorial) and last but not least...
David Yu for letting us loose in his staggering 355.
The results are very interesting and footage is stunning! You'll love it.
Kind regards
Simon

Thanks Simon for everything you did today it was great, i had a really good time.
If you need my car again for anything let me know.
I think the sound of the Ferrari will be in my head for a long time to come WOW!!!.
Thanks must also go to Josh and Paul for having to stand around in the cold and take the photos and video footage. It was funny though, when Josh tried to pick up a bloke!!.
Thanks to Hoppy for the editorial side of things, i will email you with my spec.
It was nice to see you all and put a face to your name. Hope to see you again at a future event.
All the best.

Top day, wasn't it
Fabulous cars, great weather, and even a couple of road testers from MCN to spice it up. Was that R1 quick or what! Wheelies for 300 yards!
But the Ferrari. I thought Scoobs sounded the best, until that F355 hit 8,000. Wow.
I think Simon is hoping to get a fruity selection of exhaust sounds for the Scoobynews CD.
Good to meet you guys (and laydeez).

I fantastic day indeed.
My thanks to Josh & Paul for the photos and video work, Richard for the words, Simon for the driving (he hated every minute ), and Mr Yu...the F355 is just a stunning car....I want one...but...er.....maybe soon .
Please check the for sale section...most of my internal organs are for sale to fund a ferrari purchase LOL
Now...You'll all have to buy the Scoobynews CD to find out the outcome
Ian.

Must agree, fantactic day.
Big thanks to Simon for organising everything. It was a great day, even if you did spend too much time in that Ferrai (just to get used to it!! )
It was really good to meet everyone and put a few names to faces.
Gussy, no problem mate. I'd like to see some of that tape. If I send you a blank tape can you do me a copy..?
Can not wait for the Scoobynews CD. It's going to be great

Justin S, I don't see why you can't order a copy of ScoobyNews with your credit card. If there are currency problems I'm sure they can be sorted. I'll drop a mail to Webmaster Simon De Banke and check.
Same goes for any of you US Scooby fans. Now you've got the new MY01 Impreza WRX, our cars are the same. Would I be giving anything away by saying there was a new-shape WRX in the test and, well, a lot of people were surprised?
And another surprise for me was Simon de Banke. Yes, I've seen footage of him doing some pretty amazing stunts in a Scoob, but he'd never driven a Ferrari before, and it was a left-hooker. Yet he nailed it right from the off and was power sliding the thing like a right Schumacher all over the place. Respect.

Excellent day out on Saturday. Me and Julia both had a fantastic if somewhat cold day.
Can't wait to see and hear the footage on the CD. That wonderful sound of the 355 screaming down the back straight. Days like this make all the frustration of crawling around on the roads worthwhile

What an great day, good to see all the cars and I am somewhat in awe of Adrians MY01 It was superb! Looks like this might show everyone just how great this car really is when put to the test!!
Thanks to Simon for organising it and well done to all of you who attended!!
I have odds on bets coming in that Simons next car is a 355!
