I owned a Range Rover just like it, and Clarkson was spot on. Mine would cross the Antarctic but it kept breaking down on the way home from the pub.

I know most of it is staged but i still love watching it. As said above, if you don't like it, don't watch it?! Simples. I think the best bit was the above mentioned pass, you could see the fear in his eyes as he was looking down. I would def not of gone that close to the edge.
Another great episode.

I wonder how much is staged...
The cliff face (going up) was on the left as they were driving along (on the LHS of the road), but the sequence when JC nearly went off the edge had the cliff on his right as he was coming towards us - had they turned round ? or just find a good spot for staging the scene ?
If H was genuinely phobic about insects would he really have gone ??
It was still a very entertaining story.

Staged or not, you are free to believe what you want, and don't we watch it for entertainment after all?
There's not much factual content in TG any more, but there's always a barrel load of laughs.
As for the cliffside action last night, I thought it was about as real as you can get. But I still don't believe that they would put their star performer (**** or not) at death's door and just carry on filming.
What would they have said if he'd gone over... 'There will be no TG christmas special this year because we allowed the star presenter to die'
Best programme on TV I reckon.

Tbh i thought that at the begining of the program up to the point when he swore on camera and genuinely paniced (i thought)(if acted give that man a oscar).
I do think the vietnam episode was a much better program none the less last nights show was a good one.
