Default beware of these buyers!!!!!!

a group of 5 guys just turnt up to look at my impreza, had a look around the car. then wanted to test drive the car, so all was good until this point. then he got in the car with one of his mates, aswell as me and my mate. put it in first hit the limiter and let the clutch up. bang the fu@3kin gearbox. what the f@!k is with that?

im well pissed got to get another gearbox and now im getting threats down the phone.

look out if people turn up in a Audi A3 in light blue. apparently for birmingham.

hope this helps anyone that encounters them.

Moral to the story, don't let some knacker drive YOUR car until THEY have paid for it.

Sorry to here whats happend I'd of been suspicious at the start mate when 5 guys turn up to view ma car,and only the one who was buying it would have got in it, and it would have been in the passenger seat. I would have been doing the driving. Hope you get it sorted soon....

What
5 guys turn up to see my car they aren't driving it without twocking it.
In fact I made a point of telling anybody they cant drive it until I have the money in my hand. The buyer understood and was happy with me driving. Red line in every gear but 6th heavy braking no hand on the wheel etc as long as you drive as asked no problem.
I would expect the same when buying.

Never sold a car yet.

If mine was up for sale, no one would be driving it other than me.

If something let go, fine my fault. If a prospective buyer was driving and blew something up, like above, then they'd just walk away and I'd be left to pay for their twattish driving.

Not going to happen. Mates have driven mine before, and me their cars. On the proviso, they break it they pay for it, and vice versa.

Have to agree with Micky, nobody will test drive my car. Passenger ride as a test drive until you have paid in full is the only way I would deal. I may make an exception based on judgement (and proof of fully comp insurance cover for my car) on the day, but some knacker turning up with four mates from Birmingham wouldn't have a hope.

Thanks for the warning anyway and hope you get things sorted.
