hey guys have just refitted my new bottom end that david at API was kind enough to build for me, just one problem though! First start today , cranked up with half a turn and is running perfectly, apart from you can hear the turbo working alot more now, when truning the car off you can hear the turbo spining down, it never did this before and the turbo hasnt been touched in any way since the rebuild just been in the shed waiting to get put back on the engine?any ideas why this is??

 

Might be you got a better seal when you refitted it - have you changed anything else ?

 

have you changed the exhaust or filter? a mate had a version 3 with a full decat and it made the same noise when shut down, you still hear the turbo spinning.
