Default Scratched windows on scoobies????

I've noticed on atleast three scoobies of the same age, same as mine, that I'm thinking it may be the mechanisim causing scratch lines on all the windows?? It's quite obivious, just wanted to know if anyone else has encountered the same thing???? My scooby is a 96 v3 sti! Cheers

My brothers 96 has it on the windows and my 99.Think it is more to do with girt in the felts of the window seals that does it.

Same thing happened on my 98 uk wagon..... but in particular a two inch wide strip in the same position each side (front only). It's so symmetrical it seems weird to just be grit in the seals, i'd have expected that to be a bit more random....

If you take the door apart theres a guide, replace it and the scratches wont happen, they wear out over time

I went to the Sussex Scoobies meet today and decided to keep warm by walking around and checking all the classics and i'd say 90% had the scratches in the same place

its a very common problem for the classics. Removing the door cards regularly and cleaning the felt should cure it. There is also a solution for removing the light scatch marks but for the life of me cant remember it lol im sure it involved vinegar but if you post up in the car care section someone will give better advice.
